The vision of the faith formation team at Assumption Parish is to lead people to a personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The preschool and elementary faith formation program at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a ‘family centered’ program that serves children and families from preschool through 5th grade.  It is ‘family centered’ in that the goal is to partner with and support parents in the faith formation of their children.  Our classes meet Sunday mornings from 10:45am until noon beginning late September thru late April.

Youth Ministry offers an array of activities and events to help foster discipleship and a relationship with Jesus Christ in our middle and high school students.

At the Baptism of their child parents are asked if they "clearly understand what they are undertaking."  In making the request to have our children baptized we accept the responsibility of training them in the practice of the faith.  The Church teaches that the parents are the first teachers of their children in matters of faith and prays that they will be the best.  However, the entire community has a role in this responsibility and we as a community express this at the Baptisms we attend.  Members of our community step up and volunteer as catechists, cantors, readers and so on.

To enroll please print out and complete the registration forms. Return the completed forms to the parish office.
The parish office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.

Faith Program
https://sites.google.com/site/abvmfaith/home/Curriculum.png?attredirects=0Assumption's Faith Program is centered on the four pillars of Catholic Doctrine: what Catholics believe, how Catholics worship, how Catholics live and how Catholics pray.

Since there are only 30 hours of classroom instruction, we encourage weekly attendance and home study.  Parental classroom visits are encouraged. A home school program is available for those who prefer this method of instruction.
